Barre workouts are designed to tone and sculpt your entire body, creating longer, leaner muscles. A fusion of Pilates, Ballet, Yoga and Dance you will enjoy a full-body workout! Barre will help you to develop balance, strength and flexibility and challenge your core. The pace of the class will ensure you get fast results and an increased metabolism post workout, burning calories for hours after your class has finished. You will work muscles you never knew you had!
What happens in Barre Sculpt class?
Classes will start with a warm up, followed by upper body sculpting exercises. The class will then move to the ballet barre working your thighs and glutes before moving onto core work that varies from traditional abdominal exercises to yoga positions and Pilates-inspired movements. Higher-rep, low-weight exercises target slow-twitch muscles, which help increase endurance while larger, functional movements help with power and speed. We may even include some cardio! Your class will conclude with a final stretch and perhaps a little pat on the back for making it through!
Introductory Barre courses: Barre 101
New to Barre? Then try our short courses which will help you to develop basic Barre principles that you will use during your work out. We will teach you the right techniques and exercises that will transform your body. Barre courses are run throughout the year but are not essential to attend before starting Barre classes.
